A PERL/CGI hacker who tweaked and hosted a WWWBoard for an online game.

A guy trying to help his father's direct-mail business find its way onto the web.

A desktop, server, and web administrator for a small company.

A blue-collar IT guy pulling ethernet cables 30 feet in the air with a scissors jack.

A chair-side desktop support guy for faculty and staff at a major university.

A server administrator for a video recording facility with two server racks in a very hot office.

An Active Directory and Exchange administrator.

A SharePoint know-it-all who accidentally became a SharePoint system administrator and developer.

A consultant. A contractor. A developer. A guy sitting in conference rooms, writing code at midnight, and trying to make impossible projects work.

I've been on successful projects.

I've been on failed projects.

I've maintained legacy code that everyone was afraid to touch.

I've flown to Europe to meet customers.

I've worked on solutions that saved thousands of people time every day.

I've led teams.

I've helped move organizations from on-premises systems to Azure.

I've spent decades watching technology change, watching companies change, and occasionally wondering if the industry changed for the better.

Today, I'm a tech lead, a husband, a dad, and someone who still can't stop thinking about software after the workday ends.

This blog is where those thoughts go.

Not because I have all the answers.

Mostly because my brain won't shut up until I write them down.
